Thank you...

This portrait of musician Marlon Williams was commissioned for a magazine article and was taken in Melbourne on the 11th of August 2015.

A picture can’t tell a story, as there is barely enough information to establish a time and place let alone a beginning or end. The caption above offers just a little bit of detail, as the main purpose of an editorial image is to be in service of the story. But, ideally– and particularly with a portrait– if a picture allows a scenario to be suggested then it becomes the viewers’ own experience, like opening a book for the first time.

Great big thanks to all our friends, clients and supporters for a wonderful year in pictures and collaborations.
